New longer rotor blades specially designed for low wind conditions

14. March 2016

For several months, we have tested our new rotor blades on our campus on our test rigs. These have been specially developed for low wind conditions and are 40 cm longer than our conventional rotor blades. The rotor diameter is thus increased from 6 m to 6.80 m, which significantly increases the harvesting area of the plant. In direct comparison, the wind turbine with the longer rotor blades could generate between 25% and 45% more output.

The longer rotor blades are mainly intended for use in low-wind areas, which are predominantly locations inland. New customers now have the opportunity to choose between different rotor sizes. For interested stock customers, we of course offer an upgrade at attractive conditions.
